About Evalda

Most tools answer “is this packaging compliant?” Evalda answers the question that actually moves the business: “which packaging pays?”

Why we exist

Packaging is no longer just a cost line — under the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR, EU 2025/40) and national schemes like Italy’s CONAI eco-modulation, it is a regulated, data-driven decision with real money attached. Most teams discover the impact too late: a format is locked, the tooling is paid for, and only then does the eco-fee or a recyclability rule turn a routine SKU into a problem.

Evalda exists to move that decision upstream. We make the compliance and the cost of a packaging choice legible before it ships — so the question stops being “will this pass?” and becomes “what should we change, and what does it save?”

What Evalda does

  • Compliance Check. Describe an SKU — or upload a spec — and get a structured read of where it stands against the PPWR, with the obligations that apply and the gaps to close.
  • The Evalda assistant. Ask, by text or voice, about a specific article, annex, or CONAI tariff. Every answer points back to the source it came from.
  • Cost & ROI view. See how a material or design change moves eco-modulation fees and recyclability — packaging treated as a lever, not a checkbox.

How we’re different

A compliance checker tells you whether a packaging is allowed. Evalda starts there and keeps going: which option is best for the business, why, and what it costs to get there. The regulation is the floor — the decision is the product.

Grounded, not guessed

Evalda is built on the primary sources, not on a model’s memory. The knowledge base tracks the official EU Official Journal text across languages and the CONAI tariff framework, and every claim Evalda makes carries a citation you can open and check. When confidence is low, Evalda says so rather than inventing an answer.
