Glossary

  • PPWR. The EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (EU 2025/40) — recyclability, recycled-content, labelling and waste-reduction rules for packaging on the EU market.
  • Eco-modulation. Setting the packaging environmental fee according to how recyclable a packaging is, so better-designed packaging pays less.
  • CONAI. The Italian national packaging consortium that administers the eco-modulated contribution.
